Bye Bye Moondance

Yesterday was the last Moondance of the season at pier 54. That means there won't be as many singer or dancer shots. Hopefully, I will start getting out to restaurants and clubs with live performances. That would keep the shots a comin'.

So yesterday I got to shoot John Dokes singing with the George Gee Swing Orchestra.

Overall, it was a wonderful performance. John Dokes got really into the photos after a point and started working the camera. This allowed me to get tons of shots with him showing various emotions.

Unfortunately, his best performance came exactly when I had packed up my camera to head home. It was the only song that he sang in which he removed the microphone from its stand.
